Marige Gojju (Spicy Green Chutney yogurt) PDF Print E-mail
Ingredients:
# Urad Dal 2 teaspoons
# Sesame Seeds 2 teaspoons
# Green Chilli 1
# Garlic 6 small flakes
# Vegetable Oil 1 1/2 teaspoon
# Grated Coconut 3 tablespoons
# Yogurt or Curds 1 cup
# Water 1/4 cup
# Cilantra(chopped) 1/4 cup
# Salt 1/2 teaspoon


First fry the first four ingredients in oil until they turn slilghtly brown. Then blend the fried mixture with grated coconut, cilantra, water and 1/2 cup of yogurt/curds into a coarse paste. Then pour the mixture into a bowl and add the remaining yogurt/curds and salt and mix well.
Although traditionally this is used with white rice, this can also be used as a dip for the vegetables or chips.
