Ingredients: # Chopped Lemon(with skin) 1 cup # Salt 1 tablespoon # Jaggery or Brown Sugar 7 tablespoons # Tamarind small lemon size # Turmeric Powder 1/4 teaspoon # Red Chilli Powder 2 teaspoons # Black Pepper Powder 1 teaspoon # Sesame Seeds 2 teaspoons # Cumin Seeds 1 teaspoon # Mustard Seeds 1/4 teaspoon # Oil 2 teaspoons # Water 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons # Dried grated coconut 1/4 cup Method: Mix the finely chopped lemons,salt,turmeric powder, jaggery/brown sugar, tamarind, chilli poder and black pepper powder in a bowl and keep it aside for 30-60 minutes. Put the oil in a small pan and roast sesame seeds, cumin seeds, and mustard seeds. Then mix these with the lemon mixture and blend. When the mixture turns into smooth paste add grated coconut and water and blend to mix well. Remove the gojju from the blender and serve along with curd rice or plain white rice. |
