Sirsi (Kannada: ಶಿರಸಿ) is a town in Uttara Kannada district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is like a hill station populated with around 65,000 people. This town is surrounded with lush green forests & numerous waterfalls.city is surrounded with dense forests. Hubli being the nearest commercial city, business opportunities are plenty. Adike (Supari) (Areca nut) or (Betel nut) is the primary business of the people. People own Areca nut farms in acres & are satisfying the needs of the people all over India and abroad. Sirsi is famous for the Marikamba temple, built in 1688. The fabulous Marikamba fair takes place every alternate year. Millions of devotees rush in from all parts of the country to attend this magnificent fair of Sri Marikamba. Just near the Marikamba temple there are temples of Maha Ganapati and Shri Gopalakrishna
