Ingredients
- Grated coconut 1
- Grated Jagerry 2 cups
- Roasted white seseme seeds 1 cup
- Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
- Rice flour 4 cups
- Water 7 cups
- Salt 1/4 tsp
- Turmaric leaves 25 (arasina yele)
Method
Mix coconut , jagerry and seseme seeds.
Boil water in a vessel add salt.
Then add rice flour to the boiling water.
Stir continuously and in a low flame allow it to cook for 5 minutes.
Remove the cooked rice flour and knead well .
Make small balls with the flour and press them into small circles like chapaties .
Put 2 tsps of the coconut jagerry mixure in the middle and seal the ends of the chapaties and roll them in turmaric leaves and steam them for 25 minutes.
